Born in McCook, NE, my love for dogs and hunting started early.  My dad took me out hunting any chance we could get.  We moved to North Dakota when I was five years old.  It was here that I was introduced to my first dog.  It has been true love ever since. 

As a degreed horticulturist, I spend eight months of the year operating my landscape company I established in 1978.  That leaves the rest of the time to travel the country to hunt my dogs.
During the busy season, however,  I work my dogs on my ranch in Colorado, where I reside.  We travel on the weekends to  hunting areas that are close enough to make it in a weekend.

German Wirehaired Pointers are my dogs of choice.  I like their personality, versatility, companionship and intelligence.  I have been a wirehair owner for 15 years.  I enjoy researching the bloodlines and strive to produce only the top dogs.  Each of my dogs are considered part of our family and I like to make sure our "children" are going to good homes that will provide lots of love and caring.

Vaccinations
Parvo/Distemper Every 3 weeks from 8 weeks of age until 16 weeks of age.
After the first year, annually.
Rabies    1 year

Food
High quality puppy food until 1 year of age.  Then gradually change over to the adult stage of that brand.
Water
Fresh, clean water should be available at all times.
Shelter
Puppies have a place to call their own that is free of draft, clean and dry.  They have a shelter to protect them from the weather, sun and wind.
Exercise
Puppies get regular exercise everyday.  This keeps him/her fit.
Tolerance Training
From the beginning, we teach the puppy to tolerate playing with his feet, ears, mouth and rolling them on their back.  This will help when you have to handle these areas to clip nails, examine ears and give pills.
